Gaslamp Quarter

Well known as the heart of downtown San Diego nightlife, the Gaslamp Quarter is comprised of a plethora of retail shops, upscale bars and taverns, business offices and historic charm. As one of the most popular downtown neighborhoods, the Gaslamp Quarter is recognized on the National Register of Historic Places, and was considered at one time a favorite scene for such historical characters as Wyatt Earp and Ida Bailey. Restaurants, including the Hard Rock Cafe, movie theaters, lofts and galleries are all available in this two by nine block neighborhood.
